PITTSBURGH, PA – July 20, 2016- Today GrapeCity Inc., leaders in developer-productivity solutions, announced the release of Wijmo 2016 v2, the company’s line of HTML5 and JavaScript products for enterprise application development. The latest version release of Wijmo demonstrates the product’s commitment to interop with the announcement of support for Angular 2, ReactJS, VueJS and Knockout, allowing developers to use UI components that work in the framework or library of their choice, without any added effort.

“It has been a pace-setting year for Wijmo,” said Chris Bannon, product manager of Wijmo. “With our v1 release, full Angular 2 support, the availability of a Knockout module, our collaboration with Microsoft and the incorporation of Wijmo’s line of HTML5 and JavaScript products into the 2016 update of Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online, we’ve been able to provide our customers the tools they need to keep up with the ever-changing landscape,” said Bannon.

With the increasing popularity of React, Facebook’s library for building user interfaces in JavaScript, the Wijmo team has created a sample that demonstrates the standard way to implement two-way bindings in React applications, along with handling change events and applying the new values by changing the component state. Full details, including a quick introduction on how to use Wijmo controls in ReactJS applications is available via Wijmo’s blog page: How to Use Wijmo Controls in ReactJS Apps

Coinciding with the release of Wijmo v2, developers can use the Wijmo components in VueJS applications. Considered to be simpler and lighter than other JavaScript application frameworks, Vue and Wijmo complement each other well as both offer power and flexibility, and developers reap the benefits of reactive data binding and composable view components.
