The industry spreadsheet leader adds new data visualization and presentation controls for the web and usability enhancements for all platforms.

Raleigh, NC - November 17, 2016 - GrapeCity, a leading provider of data visualization, analysis, spreadsheets, and reporting components, announced a major update to their spreadsheet collection, Spread Studio v10 and a new offering for JavaScript developers, SpreadJS.

While Spread is traditionally known for .NET technology, GrapeCity now provides a new JavaScript spreadsheet and data presentation solution for enterprise JavaScript developers, SpreadJS. SpreadJS includes Spread.Sheets for complete spreadsheet functionality, and Spread.Views, a next-generation data presentation and layout engine.

This release of SpreadJS introduces an entirely new way for JavaScript developers to present their data using the new Spread.Views. Spread.Views goes beyond traditional tabular displays by including a variety of views that the developer can choose from, such as tree, card, masonry, trellis, timeline, news feed, Gantt, calendar, and grid. Use Spread.Views layouts for analysis, performance monitoring, data reporting, dashboards, product catalogs, ecommerce, news feeds, project management applications, and much more. Spread.Sheets also includes many new enhancements such as Client-side Excel IO, cross-platform designers that work in Windows, MacOS, and Linux, and major performance enhancements that make it one of the fastest spreadsheets on the market. "Features such as these set SpreadJS apart from any other product of its kind," commented Donald Williamson, Spread Product Manager. "SpreadJS is so much more than a Spreadsheet. You need to experience it to fully appreciate it."

All components in Spread Studio v10 work with Windows 10, Visual Studio 2015, and Excel 2016. For ASP.NET apps, new features include new charts, formula extenders, touch toolbar, and better support for Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome. Williamson reiterated GrapeCity's commitment to the development community, "Windows developers have relied on Spread to support Microsoft's latest releases for over 20 years and this latest round is no exception."

Spread's WinForms components received many other data visualization and UI enhancements such as adding support for new popular charts, new cell types to provide a better data entry experience, and enhanced printing support. "WinForms development is still relevant and we strive to support modern devices and user experience standards," said Williamson.
