IME Mode

You can specify whether to use the Input Method Editor (IME) mode in a cell in Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox.

Use the imeMode method to specify the IME mode setting.

The IME bar is disabled when the active cell is not an editable cell or the cell is locked.

You can use IME mode in a custom cell with the isImeAware and updateImeMode methods.

The IME bar will rollback the cell's IME setting if you click in the cell using the mouse. For example, if the IME mode in cell A1 is active and the active cell is changed to A1, the IME bar becomes active. Pressing the Shift key changes the IME bar to inactive. Clicking in cell A1 causes the IME bar to change back to active.

The following code sample disables the IME mode.

activeSheet.getCell(0, 0).imeMode(GC.Spread.Sheets.ImeMode.Disabled);
var style = new GC.Spread.Sheets.Style();
style.imeMode = GC.Spread.Sheets.ImeMode.Disabled;
activeSheet.setStyle(0, 0, style);
