This function converts the text representation (of a number in specified base) into a decimal number.
DECIMAL(text,base)
This function has the following arguments:
| Argument | Description |
|---|---|
| text | Refers to any combination of valid alpha-numeric characters according to the base. This value is not case sensitive. |
| base | This value must be an integer and it should be greater than or equal to 2 (binary) and less than or equal to 36 |
The length of argument text must be less than or equal to 255 characters.
Accepts numeric or string data for argument text. Accepts only numeric data for argument base. Returns numeric or string data.
DECIMAL("FF",21) gives the result 330.
DECIMAL(11,2) gives the result 3
This function is available in Spread for Windows Forms 11.0 or later.
