This function converts the text representation (of a number in specified base) into a decimal number.

DECIMAL(*text,base*)

This function has the following arguments:

Argument | Description |
---|---|

text |
Refers to any combination of valid alpha-numeric characters according to the base. This value is not case sensitive. |

base |
This value must be an integer and it should be greater than or equal to 2 (binary) and less than or equal to 36 |

The length of argument *text* must be less than or equal to 255 characters.

Accepts numeric or string data for argument *text*. Accepts only numeric data for argument *base*. Returns numeric or string data.

DECIMAL("FF",21) gives the result 330.

DECIMAL(11,2) gives the result 3

This function is available in Spread for Windows Forms 11.0 or later.
