    Remarks

The user can press the arrow keys to move the focus through the tab order of the controls, as determined by the TabIndex property, when the AutoAdvance property is set to true. The user can press the Up Arrow or Left Arrow key to move the cursor to the previous control and the Down Arrow or Right Arrow key to move the cursor to the next control.

The Advance event occurs when the user performs one of the following actions:

    • Presses the Left Arrow key when the cursor is positioned on or before the first character in the control
    • Presses the Right Arrow key when the cursor is positioned on or after the last character in the control
    • Presses the Up Arrow key when the cursor is positioned in the first line of the control or when the cursor is positioned on or before the first character in the control
    • Presses the Down Arrow key when the cursor is positioned in the last line of the control or when the cursor is positioned on or after the last character in the control

If the AutoAdvance property is set to false (its default value), the Advance event does not occur.
