Join me at PGH.NET on Aug 10, 2010

I’m one of Five Guys With Code speaking next Tuesday at the Pittsburgh .NET user group. There are some cool sessions, Eric is always an entertaining speaker and the new Table Value Parameters are a very, very useful technology in SQL Server 2008. And what everyone really cares about, I am bringing ComponentOne swag, including a license for one of our control suites.

Here are the details:

Visual Studio 2010 has a number of new code snippets that you can add to your VS2010 installation in order to make your use of jQuery more efficient.

Session 4: Bowling for TDD -- Eric Kepes

Session 5: Table Value Parameters with SQL Server 2008 and Microsoft .NET -- John Sterrett

Are you tired of passing comma delimited strings or xml to your stored procedures to input a data collection into your stored procedures? You can now pass a table to your stored procedures. SQL Server 2008 provides a feature known as Table Value Parameters that makes it happen. After this quick fifteen minute session you will be able to implement this new feature with your .NET Applications.
