Sandcastle Resources

Originally built by Microsoft as an internal tool and subsequently released to the community, Sandcastle is used to generate MSDN-style documentation automatically from code-inline comments. There are a number of downstream tools which transform Sandcastle output, including our Doc-to-Help. Microsoft contracted with us for the most recent Sandcastle release; all our API documentation is generated from our builds using Doc-to-Help and an internal build of Sandcastle with some additional tweaks we've added since the Codeplex release.

One of the most common problems with community software is lack of documentation, and ironically, Sandcastle is no different. There is partial documentation on the Codeplex page (links are on the home page, not under the Documentation tab), well as some additional resources floating around, which I'll try to consolidate here. Thanks to Nicky Bleiel for tracking these links down for me.
