    Hello,

We upgraded our production web server and now all of the cells in our sheets are rendering as black unless we specifically modify the cell’s color in code. Previously, the control used the colors from the template XLSX file. In our template, we mostly have grey or “no fill” and those show up black. If I change the color to red or something, that seems to work. Changing it back to grey shows black again.

Any ideas about what is missing or how to fix this without coloring every cell individually?

    Andrew

    OLD: Windows Server 2008 R2, Excel 2010, Spread 9

NEW: Windows Server 2016, Excel 2013, Spread 9

We see the black cells whether we deploy an old version with Spread 9 or a new one with Spread 11.

    Hello Andrew,

We would like to have to debug your code at our end as we are not sure what could be the cause of the issue.

Hence, please share your stripped out working sample replicating the issue so that we can investigate this issue here.

    Thanks,

It seems like some colors we were using in Excel no longer show in the Spread control. When we pick the first grey color from Theme Colors, it renders as black in Spread11. When we go in Excel to More Colors and pick the lightest standard grey, it renders correctly in Spread11. I’m not sure why one color works and the other does not, but we seem to have circumvented the problem by changing the colors in our templates.

    THIS WORKS

    Hex: C0C0c0 (192-192-192)

    HSV: 0-0-75

    Alpha 255

THIS DOES NOT WORK ( renders as black )

    Hex: BFBFBF (191-191-191)

    HSV: 0-0-74

    Alpha 255
