I badly need to allow the use of exponential notation with the InputNumber.

IE I would like the user to be able to enter a number like: 1.23e-23 in a input numeric

Will the e notation formats be supported anytime soon? https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dotnet/standard/base-types/standard-numeric-format-strings

    Hi David,

We are extremely sorry for the inconvenience.

Currently there is no plan to add support for “e” format in InputNumber since It is a format that doesn’t fit the characteristics/design of the InputNumber control.

Hence, we would suggest using a regular input element if you expect the input to require scientific notation.

    Sorry again for inconvenience.

    Manish. Thanks for your reply.

Component One supported e notation for its input Number. Why does it not fit the wijmo control.

Just for your FYI, the regular input element is not really an acceptable substituiton. It does not properly suppot different decimal delimiters on different browsers in a regular fashion (for example, in chrome its always a “.”

    Hi David,

We are sorry for the inconvenience.

It is a format [e format] that doesn’t fit the characteristics/design of the InputNumber control.

That’s why it is not supported for Wijmo InputNumber Control.
