Problem with C1DockingTab.RestoreLayout

I’ve been using SaveLayout and RestoreLayout in an application for some time now. Recently, I’ve added a new tab to one of the C1DockingTab controls in my application. It seems that because that tab was not there when the layout was last saved, that it is made invisible when an old layout is restored. Is there a way to change this behavior and have the restore default to showing the new tab?

    Hello,

We could observe the issue, while we tried to add a new tab through button click. We have escalated [Internal Tracking ID: 314685] it to the concerned team and will get back to you once we hear from them. In the mean time, can you share how you tried to add the new tab? Also, please share your observations if you add the new tab from the Form Load event.

    Best Regards,

    Esha

    Hello Esha,

I added the new tab via the designer, not programmatically. My concern is only that people updating to the new version of my application will not be able to see the new tab as their layouts will have been saved using the old version. I can of course add code after the RestoreLayout to ensure the tab is visible but it is a bit of a hack and something I’d rather not have to remember to do any time I add new tabs to any of my forms.

    Thanks,

    John
