A simple treeview as displayed below will issue the following exception when the bottom checkbox is clicked (and the node above it is NOT expanded.

An unhandled exception of type ‘System.Collections.Generic.KeyNotFoundException’ occurred in mscorlib.dll

The given key was not present in the dictionary.

Also, it would be a better option to have the user customize the expand/collapse, checkBox(checked/unchecked/neither) icons to whatever image they want. This would allow the treeview style to be a more consistent to ANY gui. The .Styles.CheckBoxStyle and .Styles.ExpandButtonStyle are much too limited.

Finally, when will the update be released? (I believe it was promised 3 weeks ago)

    Hello,

I am able to reproduce the issue at my end as well. I have escalated this to the development team and will revert you back once have any information from them.

Finally, when will the update be released? (I believe it was promised 3 weeks ago)

Could you please tell me the build version for which you are looking at? Also, 2017 V3 version of ComponentOne Studio will be released in mid November.

    Thanks,

    Mohit

    Hi Mohit,

I am using 4.0.20172.271, is there another update not connected to live?

    Thanks,

    Kingman

    Hello Kingman,

C1Live only shows the major release version of the ComponentOne Studio. As mentioned earlier, 2017 V3 version of ComponentOne Studio will be released in mid November. Hence, C1Live will show any updates once this 2017 V3 version is released.

However, the new hotfix is available and you can download it from the following link:

    http://prerelease.componentone.com/hotfixes/dotnet/C1WinForms.4_4.0.20172.276.zip

    Thanks,

    Hi Mohit,

What are the steps to install a hotfix?

    Thanks,

    Kingman

    Hello Kingman,

These hotfix assemblies are not required to be installed on your machine. You can use the new DLL(s) in your existing project by just replacing the existing DLL(s) in ‘References’ of your Project, with 4.0.20172.276 build.

Let me know if you face any issue while doing this.

    Thanks,

    Mohit

    Hi Mohit,

In VB, simply changing the reference of the controls causes a license nag screen to show up after I delete the old controls license (which I have to do to use the new controls). Also how do I get the updated controls into the toolbox?

Could you provide step by step directions for getting the updated tools into an old and new project?

    -Thanks

    Hi,

2017 V3 version of ComponentOne Studio has been released now. You can update ComponentOne Studio using C1Live (located at C:\Program Files (x86)\ComponentOne\C1StartMenu). It will update all the existing dlls in GAC and the toolbox in VS.

Please note. your issue has been resolved in 2017V3 version. Please recheck with the latest build and feel free to revert back.

“CheckImageList” and “ButtonImageList” properties are added in C1TreeView to customize the expand/collapse, checkBox (checked/unchecked/neither) icons.

    Thanks,

    Mohit
