Hi everyone - we use a report writer called Compass which is built into a EDP system called Epicor Eagle. ActiveReports is literally ‘bolted’ onto this thing and it’s actually a feature that isn’t really supported by the vendor - “use at your own risk” so to speak.

It’s been working fine for years but recently we had to upgrade it’s ‘house’ from Windows 7 to Windows 10 and now just about every single one of my ActiveReports reports are broken. They either print 8.5x11 reports that are broken down into around 2" high sections (causing a normal report that is 10 pages to become one that is like 40 pages). OR they generate this error message and don’t process at all:

DataDynamics.ActiveReports.ReportException: Page header/footer too large. Increase paper size or reduce header/footer height at #mb.#vqb.#DEb(Boolean bAllowGrowth) at #mb.#vqb.#vEb() at #mb.#vqb.#qEb(Page newPage, Single left, Single top, Single right, Single bottom, UInt32 flags, UInt32& status) at DataDynamics.ActiveReports.ActiveReport.#4yb() at DataDynamics.ActiveReports.ActiveReport.Run(Boolean syncDocument) at Norris.Controls.NReportViewer.SetLicenceValuesAndRun() at Norris.Controls.NReportViewer.LoadReportViewerWithEvents(

I saw some discussion of this error in another thread but it’s a bit dated so I thought I’d bring it back up here in a new one.

The issue only occurs when it processes a report to save as a PDF. I’ve tried just about everything I can think of to try - just can’t seem to fix. Thoughts?! Thank you!

    Hello,

Please note that ActiveReports6 is legacy product. It is out of maintenance mode now. Hence, we do not provide support. Also, it is never tested with VisualStudio 2019 as it comes after the release of last release of the ActiveReports6.

I would recommend you use the latest version of ActiveReports i.e ActiveReports 15. Please refer to the following link for more information:

However, you can try suggestion in the following link:

“PDF export filter throws KeyNotFoundException” topic in the following link:

    Thanks,

    Mohit
