Hi, please excuse a broad question here. I have plenty of experience with AR in desktop winforms apps, but haven’t done one as a webpage.

Is it possible to publish an AR webpage into a Sharepoint site as a site page?

Where would I start in figuring out the pieces of this I need to put together?

    Thanks

    Hi Chris,

I am not sure whether you can implement ActiveReports into a Sharepoint site as a site page therefore I have also escalated the case to our development team to get their insights on this [Ticket ID: AR-31264].

We’ll let you know as soon as we get some information regarding the same.

    Thanks,

    Anand

    Hello ,

We did not test such scenario, but in theory, these steps would be required:

    1. Build report using ActiveReports.
    2. Build a WebPart (if you are using Sharepoint with MS Dynamics CRM) with the WebViewer control (ASP.NET or JSViewer).
    3. Load the report into the viewer on pageload(if you choose ASP.NET WebViewer).
    4. Set the page to load from a touchpoint inside MS Dynamics CRM.

You can replace step 2 with an external form/asp.net/mvc page if sharepoint is not part of the deployment and you will need to setup midleware somewhere else if it is not possible with WebParts:

technically, the main question here “can ASP.NET application be deployed on the sharepoint?”

    Thanks,

    Sergey Romanov.
