I need to connect a report to sql server. I see that within available providers I have “Microsoft SQL Client Provider” but I got an error when testing the connection. Is this normal o do I have to add custom code in order for this to work ?

    Hello,

I am able to connect the MS SQL server through the WebDesigner. Could you please share the error message that you’re facing while connecting the MsSql server.

    Thanks,

    Mohit

    Hi,

I followed the example here: https://www.grapecity.com/activereports/docs/v14/online/how-to-create-simple-web-designer-sample.html

Whe I try to connect to SQL, I got the attached error.

    Hello,

Could you please refer the following sample to check at your end:

    https://github.com/activereports/WebSamples14/tree/master/WebDesignerSamples

If the issue is still reproducible, could you please share the sample with me.

    Thanks,

    Mohit

    Hi

I’ve checked these examples. The MVC project seems to work as expected. I could connect to my data source and run a few reports.

On the other hand, MVC-Core one (which I could be interested in implementing) shows a license error when run it. I’ve seen this error in one of the posts and included the licx file within properties folder but it still does not work. Images attached:

    Hello,

Could you please run your application in VS2019 as AR support .Net core only in VS2019.

    Thanks,

    Mohit
