While migrating from Active Reports 7 to Active Reports 17, inside a Windows Forms project, I’m noticing a much less visually pleasing appearance of the report when displayed within an Active Reports viewer.

With Active Reports 7 the report looks crisp:

With Active Reports 17 the report looks badly anti-aliased and some lines aren’t even visible:

Screenshots are taken at the same resolution and zoom level. I’m referring to the text and lines.

Is there anything I can set to make it closer to how it was before?

    Hi Matteo,

If you are working with a SectionReport please try changing the Report’s ‘CompatablityMode’ property to ‘CrossPlatform’.

If the issue persists please try sharing the sample of your ActiveReports 17 report so we can test the issue on our end and further investigate the same.

    Dear Anand,

thanks for the heads-up, that was the right direction. However, it worked for me by setting it to GDI as opposite to CrossPlatform. Seems fine, as my application only runs on Windows.

    Kind regards,

    Matteo
