We are migrating to a .net8 environment as support for .net6 (end of support) and .net7 are ending soon.

I previously purchased the v16 version and it provided reports in some production environments.

However, we found ourselves in a situation where we had to provide a new report from a program developed in the above development environment. This time, I saw that v18 supports .net8, but it is true that it is burdensome to purchase a new one by paying a considerable amount of money.

If the v16 library does not work in the .net8 environment, it appears that it will eventually have to be built separately in the .net 6 environment or purchased.

    Is there another way?

    Hi,

You may try using .NET 8 with ActiveReports 16, but since .NET 8 isn’t officially supported with the same, we won’t be able to assist in case of issues arising due to it. Along with that, ActiveReports 16 is now out of maintenance mode, and we won’t be providing any bug fixes for the same either. Full support for .NET 8 has been introduced with ActiveReports 18, unlocking its enhanced features and compatibility with the latest technology. Unfortunately, for seamless integration into your .NET 8 environment, upgrading to ActiveReports 18 would be necessary.

Also, we understand that acquiring a new version involves a significant investment.
