We are creating a report that uses several group headers and footers. The first group header is used as a page header so it should print at the top of every page. Within this group header are 4 more group headers and footers. We found that intermittently, the group/page header doesn’t print at the top of some pages. After trying to figure out what is causing this to happen on some pages and not others, we believe we found a bug in Active Reports.

When we looked deeply into what could be the problem, it was found that if there are no more details to be printed for the group, and the group footer isn’t included at the bottom of the page but does print at the top of the next page, the group/page header that should be printed isn’t. This happens every time this condition is met. The report works fine showing the group/page header at the top of the page if there are more details to be printed at the top of the next page.

I’ve included a simple report that this happens on. Pages 1 to 4 of the report shows what’s happening. Then pages 5 to 7 show the group/page header as it should. Pages 8 through the rest of the report show the problem again.

    Hi Kelly,

You can set the ‘RepeatStyle’ property of your Group Header from ‘OnPage’ to ‘OnPageIncludeNoDetal’ and it will work as per your requirements.

Please find attached the updated sample for the same.

    Regards,

    Anand
