We have some projects in vb6 wich use true dbgrid 7 (a lot). Since windows 8.1 we started having crash problems with this version of the grid. After searching your forum we decided to upgrade true dbgrid to version 8 since we bought it some years ago just never got to upgrade the projects.
The crash problems were solved but we are having problems with the registration of true dbgrid 8. If we install our programs through a new full installation, no problem. But if you build an update file (we use innoDB) and try to register the ocx we can’t. It gives an error message on registering the ocx. We have to run the registration utility that comes with your components in order for it to register correctly.
How can you register the true dbgrid ocx correctly? Is there a file missing?
We already have true dbgrid 7 registered in client computers since it was installed with that version. We only want to upgrade without fully installing our applications again.
