I have a system to migrate from to .NET.

The VB6 system is using the active report 1.5j.

How can I convert active report 1.5j to active report 14j?

    Hi Nguyen,

In order to migrate from ActiveX 1.5J to .NET, you’d have to first migrate your reports to ActiveX 2.0J because the only version of ActiveX products that can be migrated to .NET products is 2.0J. After this, save them to RPX format, and then migrate them to ActiveReports 14J.

Please refer to the following links for detailed information:

    Hope this helps!

    Hi katyayny.raghuvanshi,

    Thank you for your support,

I have read the document of the attached link

I am trying to first migrate my reports to ActiveX 2.0J. It seems that is difficult for me to make it.

Could you please teach me to do that?

It is good if you give a sample.

    Hi Nguyen,

    >> Could you please teach me to do that?

Apologies for the inconvenience, but unfortunately ActiveX 2.0J is a very old legacy product, and we no longer provide support for the same, which is why I can only provide the resources available online. You may refer to the following documentation link for more information:

    Hi katyayny.raghuvanshi,

    Thank you for your support,

I have two options for migrating from Ver.1.0J (1.5J) to Ver.14j

    1. Migrating from Ver1.0J to Ver.2.0J. then convert to ver.14j
    2. Create a new report (ver.14j) based on the existing report layout (ver.1.5j)

Please help me to confirm the best way.

    Hi Nguyen,

I would recommend you to follow the first way, i.e., first converting Ver1.5J to Ver.2.0J and then converting the same to ActiveReports 14J. You may also try the second way, but since there can be many breaking changes in between the versions, it can be tedious to keep up with the report layout.
