    Hello,

I’m trying to migrate the version of active reports in .NET but I’m getting a lot of errors.

    The process I followed is:

-Download the installer (ActiveReports 12 Server SP3 (v12.3.9672.0))

-Open visual studio and then click on convert to active reports 12

After the convertion is done, I get the message "Cannot add references to project ‘name’:Grapecity.ActiveReports.Imports.Excel.v12.dll

And in the console I get a lot of errors related to auto-generated files from previously made reports. Also, some errors are related to the ‘ds’ variable.

The number of errors is more than 3800.

Any sugestions in how to solve this? Am I doing something wrong while migrating the ActiveReports version?

    Hello,

In my understanding, you downloaded the wrong installer. ActiveReports 12 .Net and ActiveReports 12 Server are different products. Please install the AR12 installer from the following link and try again:

    http://cdn.grapecity.com/ActiveReports/ar12/hotfixes/ActiveReports-v12.3.18660.0.msi

    Thanks,

Also, make sure that your application FW should be equal or greater than 4.5.2 .Net FW.

    Hello, thanks for the response.

I did what you said but I’m getting the error in the image when I try to open a report.

My intention is to migrate from AR11 to AR14, should I do this transition gradually from each version (AR11->AR12, AR12->AR13, AR13->AR14) or can I make the jump directly to AR14?

    Hello,

You can directly migrate from AR11 to AR14. Please install the installer from the following link:

    http://cdn.grapecity.com/ActiveReports/AR14/Hotfixes/ActiveReports-v14.1.20320.msi

Also, refer to the following links for upgradation:

    Thanks,

    Mohit
