  I would like to produce a running balance for each line of a list of transactions. Each line in the report will have an account or a payment and the balance needs to take the opening balance + account-payment for each transaction for the month.

  You can use the “RunningValue” function to calculate the desired result. Please refer to the attached report for the complete implementation.

  You can enter the formula in the cell of the Table using the context menu. Please refer to the attached image.

  When I drop a table on the detail section of the report I get an error:
