  Is it possible to obtain the same behaviour as the ColumnValueConverter(list,“id”,“description”) introduced in www.grapecity.com/en/blogs/c1flexgrid-combobox-editor-using-a-custom-typeconverter also in flexgrid for xamarin.
  
  I did not find the class in the xamarin environment

  Solved. One has to look for an example in the NewRow example present in the FlexGrid for xamarin samples pack. One should look at the AutoGeneratingColumns event handler. There is a case for combo boxes and a case for dates
