.NET 2.0 Installation failed

I believe this is because I changed the installation directory. When I clicked finish I got two messages:

An exception 'System.IO.DirectoryNotFoundException' has occurred in MSI11B.tmp.

    and

Error 1722. There is a problem with this Windows Installer Package.

It appears at least part of the installation to the GAC was successful. However, none of the .NET 2.0 component were listed in VB's toolbox list. I had to browse for the assemblies myself. The registry key that Bernardo mentioned back in July is not present.

    Hi,

Please mention your system properties. Windows 10 automatic Update usually solves the issue…

Still if you want there is a solution for this which you may try.

-You need to remove all the versions of Microsoft .Net Framework from the computer using the cleanup tool and then we need to run the Windows Updates on the computer so that all the versions of Microsoft .Net Framework gets installed on the computer.

    • Download the .Net Framework cleanup tool and run it to remove

“.Net Framework - All Versions” and then restart the computer.

      and also…

You may also now try to install all the versions of .Net Framework from the knowledge base article and check.
