    Hi,

I got a Control that inherits from FarPoint.Win.Spread.FpSpread and at the time to use the control on a form it throwed this:

Any idea how can I make it that I will be able to use the Spread Designer on a inherit control?

    Hi,

It is by design. The spread designer does not support controls created by inheriting spread.

As a workaround, you can use the standalone designer application located at the spread installation location (C:\Program Files (x86)\GrapeCity\Spread.NET 15\Windows Forms\v15.0.20211.0\bin), to design your spread and then save it to XML, then you can open this XML in your program using the Open method of FpSpread.

    Regards

    Avnish
