TextTip issue

    Using v14

It seems that the TextTips do not scale properly.

On a high dpi monitor zooming at 100% it’s all ok.

But if you zoom to another setting the scaling is gone (or not correct).

I think this is a bug.

    Hi Piet,

Are you using High Dpi configuration mentioned in the documentation?

    https://www.grapecity.com/spreadnet/docs/v14/online-win/spwin-dpisupport.html

    When using High Dpi configuration,

    At 100% scale:

    At 150% scale:

Can you please mention if I’m missing something else?

    Regards,

    Jitender

    Hi Jitender,

I’m using system dpi aware on the main monitor.

Main monitor (4k) at 150%, second monitor at 100%

I don’t think you are missing something.

Could this be a Windows issue?

    Regards Piet

What is your target .NET Framework and the Windows build?

Please check whether you observe this with the attached sample:

    Hi Jitender,

I’m using 4.8 Framework just like you did.

    Using your sample:

Look at the picture (I’ve copied the text below the tip) and notice the difference.

tooltip scaling 4k at 150% spread 100% at my system.

    Hi Piet,

I think you are referring to the difference in Font size between the TextTip and cell text. Please note that by default TextTip Font is slightly smaller.

You might want to check the TextTipAppearance property for this.

If you check the TextTip at different scale factors then you can see that it does scale accordingly.

Let us know if the TextTip remains at the same size at your end at different scaling.

Also, if you are using System Dpi Aware you should consider using PerMonitorV2 for better results on a multi-monitor setup.

    Regards,

    Jitender
