  For a standard custom formula, we return a result like:

  return result

  or for an array:

  return new GC.Spread.CalcEngine.CalcArray(result)

  For an Async custom formula, we return a single result with:

  return context.setAsyncResult(result)

  What is the proper way to return an array with a custom Async formula?

  Hi,

  In the case of a custom async formula, you can pass a GC.Spread.CalcEngine.CalcArray object in setAsyncResult method to represent the custom async function returns an array as a result. Please refer to the snippet below and sample.

  //Set the async evaluate result to CalcEngine
  context.setAsyncResult(new GC.Spread.CalcEngine.CalcArray([[1,2,3]));

  Thanks. I had tried that but was getting an error, then realized my server call was returning an array of objects. Once converting to an array of arrays, all works as expected.
