    Hello.

I am trying to add Russian as a language to my application that uses SpreadJS. This application is not a web application, it is a computer software. The file uses windows-1252 encoding and I was wondering if there is a way to support Russian symbols. I have attached a screenshot of what I currently have. I added German and UK and they work fine, but for Russian, the currency symbol shows up as “?” instead of “₽”. Thanks

    Hi,

I attempted to reproduce the issue with the information available to me but was unsuccessful. Please refer to the attached video and sample.

To better assist you, could you share the following information:

    1. I’m uncertain about how you are using SpreadJS in your computer application. Could you please provide more details on how SpreadJS is being used as computer software?

    2. Can you share a sample with steps to replicate the issue and environment details, or modify the existing sample to replicate the problem.

    3. Can you provide a GIF or video illustrating the issue.

This information will help me investigate the problem more thoroughly.

    Best regards,

So our software is a Java application that also uses a JxBrowser Instance. The spreadsheet.html is rendered in the application itself. I added three screenshots that show part of our application. We are using windows-1252 encoding for our application. Converting it to UTF-16 works, but we are looking for a better solution.

    Hi,

I am still unable to create a sample based on the information you have shared. It would be really helpful if you could provide us a minimal working sample replicating the issue. Also, kindly mention the steps in order to replicate the issue and run the sample.

If you have sensitive data related to your project, you can also create a case on our private portal at https://developer.mescius.com/my-account/my-support

Without the sample replicating the issue, it would be very hard for us to replicate the issue and provide you with a solution.

    Regards,

    Ankit
