There is an interaction delay when PrintLineVisible is enabled

    Currently, when I turn on PrintLineVisible in the PageLayout=>PrintLineVisible tab, interactions with the workbook will have a certain visible delay, such as editing a cell then entering will be slightly delayed. I need your confirmation and wonder if there will be a solution for this or not?

    Hi,

    I tried to replicate the mentioned issue at my end. However, I failed to replicate it. There was no delay when interacting with spread after applying PrintLineVisible. I have attached the sample and the GIF.

    sample: https://jscodemine.grapecity.com/share/2bBuDAGz_kSKgOlnxIG8kA/?IsEmbed=false&Theme=Unset&PreviewDirection=0&IsEditorShow=true&IsExplorerShow=true&IsPreviewShow=true&IsConsoleShow=true&IsRunBTNShow=false&IsResetBTNShow=false&IsOpenInCodemineBTNShow=false&PanelWidth=20&PanelWidth=50&PanelWidth=30&defaultOpen={"OpenedFileName"%3A["%2Findex.html"%2C"%2Fsrc%2Fapp.js"]%2C"ActiveFile"%3A"%2Fsrc%2Fapp.js"}

    Could you please provide us with the sample that replicates the issue? The issue might be specific to your sample or file, so we would need a sample that replicates the mentioned issue to further investigate the issue. You may also modify the sample we have shared with you.

    Regards

    Hi,

    We are able to replicate the issue at our end. We found that when the print area is set in the sheet and the “PrintLineVisible” is true then after ending the edit mode of a cell there is a slight delay(~700ms).

    Hence, we have escalated the mentioned issue to the dev team for further investigation. The internal tracking ID for the issue is SJS-23651. We will keep you updated on the progress of the issue.

    Hi,

    The dev team has replied to the mentioned issue.

    The print area is calculated dynamically when the content of the worksheet changes. The changes include “data, row, col layout change, and so on”.

    Hence, the more content the worksheet (and workbook) has, the pagination logic will take more time.

    This mentioned behavior is by design. That is why the xlsx file with more size(content) will take more time.

    Regards
