I can confirm the following.
Making Preflight checks in Acrobat tells, that there are “more than one encoding in cmap for a truetype font”.
Converting the PDF to PDF/A (fonts are converted to postscript) solves the problem with flexviewer.
However, other frameworks do render the pdf just fine, since this is not a critical error but mere are warning in preflight, flexviewer should be able to render that too - maybe you can handle that exception?

Hi Andreas,
Could you share the pdf file you are observing the exception with. I tried to check the issue but using the default pdf in our product sample ‘PdfView’ (installed at \Documents\ComponentOne Samples\UWP\C1.UWP.Document\CS\PdfView location) along with one of the latest versions, I did not observe any exception. Therefore, request you to share your pdf. Also, to trap the exception in code, did not the try-catch block work ?
Thanks, Ruchir

Hi Ruchir,
yes I tried to catch anything, but nothing was thrown - not even with having all runtime exceptions checked in visualstudio to break at.
The PDF in question is confidential, but I stripped it down to just one word and attached it here. The error still occurs. I would like to send you one complete page of the pdf which has additional ormultiple erros in flexviewer. But non-public. Do you have a pm where I can send it to you?
Best regards, Andreastest_fonterror.zip

Hi, I do not know why you were not able to find the case because I still can open the same using http://supportone.componentone.com/casedetail/343045 URL. Also, I have responded you over there.
