Hi,
so I have a flexgrid with X number of groupings (doesn’t seem relevant but its 3) and I want to freeze the 1st row of the grid data. While I can do this I have to set that column to 6 to grab the first row. I’m using column mapping to set the display and it’s the 5th item in the map and the 1st visible item. What is the rhyme or reason here? why isn’t it 1 and how can I consistently expect to set columns in a grouped table?

I’m sorry but I’m unable to understand the requirement. Could you please explain more about the requirement? I’m confused about what you mean by column mapping? Do you need to freeze columns or rows?
As per my understanding, you need to apply grouping and need to freeze the first data row excluding the group rows, is this correct?

I have a flex grid that is grouped. I want to freeze the first column. the groupings are 3 levels deep, category, pool, poolgoal. The first column of tabled data is account. In a non grouped table I could set the frozenColumns = 1 and the 1st column would freeze. In the grouped data I have to set it to 5. I’m ok with doing this, but I don’t understand how to calculate the number with grouped data.

Thank you for the additional information.
We are sorry but we are unable to replicate the issue at our end. In our test, setting the frozenColumn = 1 correctly froze the 1st column irrespective of the grouping applied. Please refer to the following sample and let us know if we are missing something required to replicate the issue:
