We’re working with an Angular application hosted on desktop via a web view. The first column is frozen and non-draggable. We’ve encountered issues with dragging columns—on some machines, it doesn’t work, and the columns remain static with no console errors. On machines where it works, attempting to move the second column to the frozen column slot (non-draggable) causes the grid to become unresponsive and freeze. Any insights on why this occurs specifically in the web view browser would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Meera,

Sorry, but we are not able to replicate the issue on our end. Could you please share some more information about the web view and your project implementation? As you mentioned, the issue occurs specifically in the web view browser, so we request you to share a small sample in which the issue can be replicated, along with some steps to replicate the issue so that we can test it on our end and assist you accordingly.

It seems the screen recording is not attached, if you are not able to attach the recording due to the file size limit i.e. 5MB, then please submit the recording through the support ticket. You can create a new ticket by logging into your Mescius account and navigating to ‘My Support’ > ‘My Cases’.

Please find attached a sample in which we tried to replicate the issue.

    Regards

Thanks for your reply. This works fine in any browser outside of the webview. Webview is using the edge browser the evergreen Webview version. I try to create a sample C++ app that launches the webview. Thanks

    Hi Meera,

We appreciate your efforts in creating a sample that launches the WebView and replicates the issue. We are waiting for the sample to further investigate and address the issues that you are facing.

If you have any additional details regarding the issue you can share them as well.

    Thank you for your cooperation.

Thanks for your reply. is there a way we can prevent the column dragging into a non-header area?

    Hi Meera,

Sorry, but we are unable to understand your exact requirement, could you please share some more details about it? In FlexGrid control, by default the columns can only be dragged and dropped in the column headers panel, i.e. over other column headers, or the column can be dragged to the Group Panel if the group panel is used. Please refer to the attached .gif image for the same.

Here’s the sample link for your reference - https://developer.mescius.com/wijmo/demos/Grid/Grouping/GroupPanel/angular

Please share some screenshots of your requirements, if possible, so that we can have a better understanding of your requirements and provide you with a solution accordingly.

    Regards
