Hi Ashwin,
Can the pdf reports be generated using Report Viewer .?
Can we generate pdf reports using Active Reports server side and then use Wijmo Report Viewer with Angular to view the reports on the client side?
What about using JSViewer in ActiveReports 13? Can it be use in Angular 7
Thanks

Hi Kapil,
The Wijmo ReportViewer control can export the report to the client-side in various different formats including PDF by using FlexReport, ActiveReports and SSRS report services. Please refer to the links below:
ReportViewer docs: https://www.grapecity.com/wijmo/docs/Topics/Viewer/Report-Viewer
ReportViewer sample: https://www.grapecity.com/wijmo/demos/Viewer/ReportViewer/Overview/purejs
About ActiveReports:
Yes, JSViewer supports Angular 7. You can refer the production sample JSViewer_Angular(Core) (located at C:\Users{User Name}\Documents\GrapeCity Samples\ActiveReports 13\Web
JSViewer_Angular(Core)) to achieve the same thing.
Also, refer the following link to know more about the JSViewer
https://help.grapecity.com/activereports/webhelp/AR13/webframe.html#JSViewer.html
Please feel free to revert if you have any question regarding this.
Thanks.

I am getting the data from .NET Web API as JSON. How can I use JSViewer or any other viewer (ReportViewer) to render the report on client side as PDF.
ReportViewer seems to require a ServiceURL and I have JSON data
Thanks

Hello,
Page/RDL Report supports the JSON Providerr. You can use the JSON Provider to load the data from the API and preview the report in the JSViewer.
Please refer to the following for more detail:
https://help.grapecity.com/activereports/webhelp/AR13/webframe.html#JSONProvider.html
https://help.grapecity.com/activereports/webhelp/AR13/webframe.html#JSViewer.html
Also, JSViewer had an inbuilt PDF Export feature. You can export to PDF file using the JSViewer at the client side. Please refer to the following link to know more about it:
https://help.grapecity.com/activereports/webhelp/AR13/webframe.html#ViewingreportsusingJSViewer.html
The serviceUrl property in the ReportViewer is used to provide the URL where the report is hosted. The serviceUrl must be a URL link to the FlexReport, Active Reports, or an SSRS report.
You will also need to provide the filePath of the report, which specifies the report file location on the server. Also, for FlexReport, you will also need to provide the reportName property, which contains the name of the report to be loaded. For more information, refer to the link below:
https://www.grapecity.com/wijmo/docs/Topics/Viewer/Report-Viewer
Thanks,
Mohit
