Hi Vidhya,
According to Wijmo’s current licensing model, I have addressed each of your questions below. Please refer to the responses.
Per Developer License Terms:
*The per-developer license typically means that each developer who directly works with or contributes to the UI part of the application needs to have a license. Other developers who don’t directly work on the UI might not need a license, but if they do, it depends on their involvement in the project. It’s not a floating license in the sense that it can be shared among developers concurrently.
Renewal and Updates:
*If you opt for a one-year license and choose not to renew it after the year, you won’t have access to updates or support beyond that year. However, if you need updates in subsequent years due to vulnerabilities or other reasons, you may need to renew your license. When you renew, you only pay for the additional year(s), not for the past years.
Updating the Library to the Latest Version:
*If you want to update the library to the latest version, you typically need to have a valid license that allows access to updates. Depending on the licensing terms, you may need to renew your license to access the latest version. The cost would depend on the renewal terms and the number of developers covered by your license.
Distribution of the Product:
*Once your development is complete, you are free to distribute your product along with the Wijmo library to any number of installations. Wijmo provides perpetual distribution licenses with every developer license. These allow you to generate as many distribution keys as needed with a limit of 100 hostname (domains) registration. In case you want to have a license with unlimited domains, you can purchase our WildCard license, which will work with any number of domains.
