Can C1.Win.TreeView.C1TreeView be automated with TestStack.white and nunit framework and if so, how do I connect? I have experimented with the “Tree” control type in TestStack.white, but no luck to connect them.

I’m using VS2019 and C#.Net 4.7.1 for both the target app and the CAST test solution.

    Hello,

ComponentOne WinForms Studio controls partially support Automation.

You can check this with the help of a tool like inspect.exe. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/desktop/WinAuto/inspect-objects or http://www.codeplex.com/UIAutomationVerify

Also, we can perform this check for you, if you can share with us the list of all ComponentOne controls you’re interested in and we’ll check if they support automation.

    Regards,

    Hi,

What I meant to ask for was any other ComponentOne control that you wanted to automate (using TestStack.White) apart from C1TreeView!

Anyways, the team is performing the check for C1TreeView now [ID: 371612].

I’ll update you once there is some information on the same.

    Regards,

    Hello,

I am happy to inform you that in our latest 2019v2 release, the developers have enhanced the product to support UI Automation.

So, you’re requested to verify and the same is working for you now or not.

    Thanks,

    Ruchir

Hi, I’m back trying this again and I have the C1 2019v2 release installed.

Can you please provide an example of how to use TestStack.White with the C1.Win.TreeView.C1TreeView control. I cannot get it to work.

    Hello,

Could you please share the code snippet trying to use and is not working? Perhaps, please share a stripped-down application that the developers can look into and resolve the problem for you at the earliest.

    Thanks,

    Ruchir
