"Create Runtime license" hangs if glicx file is write protected

If the project already contains a “.gclicx” file and it is write protected (this happens for us as our source control is “Team Foundation Manager”, where are files are write protected if not checked out), then the license manager hangs when calling “Generate”.

Here is a screenshot of this feature, the red arrow marks the “wait” animation that hangs forever:

    Hi Wolfgang,

The developers have fixed this issue in 2023v3 release. We request you wait for the 2023v3 installer to be publicly available in order to achieve the desired behavior.

The ETA for the release is the end of December 2023.

    Thanks & Regards,

    Aastha

I can confirm that you made changes: if the GCLICX file is write protected, now an error icon with detailed message is shown for the failing project.

But there is something else that I want to complain about: if the “csproj” file is write protected (this happens if it is checked in to Team Foundation Server), you cannot even select/check the project in license manager, the checkbox seems to be disabled. The reason why it is not selectable is not obvious. It would be better if I could select the project, and an error is reported when generating the license.

    Could you improve this?

    Best regards

    Wolfgang
