FlexViewer 4.8 Checkbox and Radio Buttons Missing

    Hi

I’m only on a trial license at the moment, so it’s possible I’m missing something. Using C1PdfDocumentSource to populate FlexViewer with some test pdf documents, I’m not seeing Checkboxes or Radio Buttons rendered. Textboxes and Comboboxes are there, no problem, just not the others two.

Can anyone give me a clue what is happening? Am I missing something? Not supported? Or is it a bug?

    Thank you

I see you did an export from Word to create your pdf. Can I send you the PDF I am working with please? Your pdf works, but if I load mine into your project it doesn’t.

    Thank you

    Test2.zip

I think I see the issue. The pdf has to be “Flattened” and the form removed to be able to see them. Not ideal.

    Hi Aastha,

At the moment I’m flattening to pdf v1.6 in a temp file to be able to display the controls. If the developers want to contact me directly I can provide various examples from different Foxit Edit pdf and Adobe Acrobat, if that would be useful.

It does appear to work in the WPF version, which also has export of form data, useful, but the app I’m considering is not in WPF. This may be useful information for the Developers.

    I’ll wait to hear back.

    Thank you

    Daniel

    Hi Daniel,

We are in discussions with the developers regarding this issue based on the information provided by you. We really appreciate your efforts in providing us with the information.

We tested your use-case scenario in a WPF application and found that the radio buttons and check boxes are not rendered there as well. Please check PdfLoad.zip Kindly provide us with a sample where you did not observe the same behavior as WinForms in your WPF application.

    Thanks & Regards,

    Aastha

    Hi Aastha

Totally my mistake. You are correct. It was a different WPS PDF control that couldn’t handle the check boxes and radio buttons in WinForms but could in WPS. Yours is at least consistent in not handling them. A third PDF viewer showed something else. The difference tracing back to handling differences between Acroform and XFA standards. Neither standards are working in FlexViewer, unfortunately. I’ve attached two examples, one of each standard. Acro-XFA.zip

    Thank you for your consideration.
