    Hey guys,

I’ve been given some legacy applications under my care. These are to keep running as-is with little to no changes, but an upgrade of ComponentOne from version 2 to version 4 was necessary due to my company’s licensing choices. (This means going from C1.Win.C1Report to C1.C1Report)

All else held equal, this caused some strange behavior in the way reports are rendered for preview. Specifically, subreports are now stacked on top of one another, and they also appear out of order, i.e. not in the order they are added in the code.

This is somewhat solved by forcing Fields(“”).Top to have much larger increments between each subreport than was set initially, but it still doesn’t look the same as with version 2, plus it is hacked and not very elegant.

This is low-priority application when it comes to allocating time and effort, so at this point I’m tempted to just stick with the older version and take the licensing nag screen for granted if that means the functionality remains unchanged.

Should anybody however have some idea as to why this is happening, then I’d be grateful to hear from you.

    Kind regards,

    Adlebert

    Hi Adlebert,

To replicate the issue that you are facing in using different version we need your Report file with the dummy data.

To remove the license nag screen, please go through the following blog post which demonstrates how you can solve this issue.

    https://www.grapecity.com/blogs/licensing-problems-the-licenses-licx-file-and-you

If this does not help then please share the screenshot of the nag screen that you are getting, so that we can further investigate this.

    Regards,

    Prabhat Sharma.
