Will Older Versions of GcExcel Java Work with Updated Java Environments?

Older versions of GcExcel may face an IllegalAccessError exception when used in environments with more recent Java versions compared to when they were originally released. This is a result of updated security measures introduced in JDK 17. More information can be found via OpenJDK.

A fix for this exception was developed for GcExcel Java in the v5.1.1 hotfix release. Any version of GcExcel Java starting from this release onwards will be compatible with JDK 17 environments, and any release before will not be compatible. We would recommend upgrading any GcExcel Java projects to the latest version for JDK 17 compatibility.
