Locate Serial Number of old FarPoint.Spread

I have a new computer and have copied over all of the code from my old PC via DevOps source control. Some of the projects have an old version of FarPoint.Spread. When I try to compile the solution (Visual Studio 2022) I get a pop-up that prompts me to enter licensing information, or begin a 30 day trial. When I select the “Already Purchased” option, it prompts for the license key and serial number. I can get the license key from the license file of the project, however, I do not know how to locate the serial number.

I’m also a little confused why this is happening in the first place. I’ve had new PC’s in the last few years and have never had this issue.

    Hello Mark,

Apologies for the inconvenience casued to you.

To license the project, you need to first license your machine by activating the serial key.

You can contact the respective person in your organization who has purchased the serial key and activate it on your machine.

To license the project you need to have a license file in your project and build the project on the machine where a proper license is activated.

If you face any issues in activating the key or getting the serial key details, you can create a support case on our private support portal.
