I've been using the ComboCloseUp event to read the key value in the combobox and use that value to display a description in a textbox column in my spreads.  I've run into a situation where the ComboCloseUp event is too broad to do this.  I really only want to re-display the description if the selected value in the combobox changes.  I tried using the ComboSelChange event, but when that event fires, it must be too early to get the new value.  Is there a way I can get the new selected value within this event?

    Gina -

The new selected value is not in the DataModel at the time the selection changes.  You need to get the item from the editing control...

    Dim s As Object = CType(FpSpread1.EditingControl, FarPoint.Win.FpCombo).SelectedItem

Thanks, Bob.  One question (hope it's not a stupid one) but what if I have more than one column of comboxes in my spread?

Not sure why that's an issue.  It will return the value for the combobox you click on regardless of the column you are in, but you can always query the e.Column and e.Row properties to see what cell you are in.
