Opening xlsx files causes a sheet locking problem

    We just updated to Windows form spread 4.0.3512.2008 (from 4.0.3509.2008)
    Now when opening xlsx files where sheet protection is set to true in excel, the user is not able to edit any cells! It locks the whole sheet, and not just the locked cells.

    this.bwSpreadWoorkBook.OpenExcel(workBook); //workBook is stream

    The same happens if protection is off in excel and in code switches the protection on
    -> locks the whole sheet.

    bwSpreadWoorkBook.Sheets[0].Protect = true;

    This seems to be the case only for xlsx files and not for xls.

    Is there a fix to this issue or work around?

    (also cell colors set in excel dosn't seem to update correctly in xlsx -> farpoint)

    Hello Mikael,

    We are able to replicate the issue stated by you with spread's version 4.0.3512.2008 using fpSpread1.OpenExcel(workbook) and have reported this as a bug #99914250.

    It will be fixed in the future release of Spread. As a workaround for the same we can use :

     fpSpread1.Sheets[0].OpenExcel("workbook.xlsx", 0);

    Hope this will help. Thanks.
