Hi,

I am facing an issue with filter icon.

I have two rows for column header of my application. Here I am trying to explain the problem using my (poor) drawing capability -

___________________________________________________

Primary header1 | Primary header 2 |
____________________________________________________

               flt_icon | subheader1 filt_icon | subheader2 |
____________________________________________________

Columns for Primary header1 and subheader1 are having row filtering feature.

The problem comes when I try to merge the rows for primary header1 as follows -

___________________________________________________

Primary header1 | Primary header 2 |
_________________________________
                                 | subheader1 filt_icon | subheader2 |

The filt_icon for Primary header1 disappears! Can you please let me know how can I deal with this problem?

Can you please tell me how can I get filter icon for Primary header1?

Regards,

Amit

Amit -

You can use the ColumnHeaderAutoFilterIndex property to achieve this.

Hi Bob,

This gives me partial solution. Because if I change the ColumnHeaderAutoFilterIndex property to 0 i get following,

_____________________________________________________

Primary header1 filt_con | Primary header 2 filt_icon |
______________________________
                                           | subheader1 | subheader2 |

I want to filter on subheader1 not for Primary header2.

Is there anyway to set the ColumnHeaderAutoFilterIndex for individual columns? so that I can have freedom to filter on my primary or secondary headings?

Regards,

Amit

Amit -

The property is set at the sheet level and applies to all columns.
