Ever since I have started using Spread for Windows Forms (version 3.5) I've used it via User Control that I have derived from FarPoint.Win.Spread.FpSpread.
I have never had any problems using designer with my derived control.
A week ago I've upgraded to version 5.0.3511.2008 from the earlier version 5, in order to resolve filter list issue (didn't fit the screen when large number of filter items exitst).
I now cannot use spread designer. I get the dialog box with the following message:
"Spred Designer is not available for inherited controls"
Whose bright idea was to disable the designer functionality. <img src="/emoticons/emotion-12.gif" alt="Angry" />
