    Hi,

Ever since I have started using Spread for Windows Forms (version 3.5) I've used it via User Control that I have derived from FarPoint.Win.Spread.FpSpread.

I have never had any problems using designer with my derived control.

A week ago I've upgraded  to  version 5.0.3511.2008 from the earlier version 5, in order to resolve filter list issue (didn't fit the screen when  large number of filter items exitst).

I now cannot use spread designer. I get the dialog box with the following message:

"Spred Designer is not available for inherited controls"

Whose bright idea was to disable the designer functionality. Angry

    Regards

    Hello,

It was a reported bug earlier for Spread 5, you may download the latest build of Spread 5 and test the same, let me know if you are still facing this issue.

You may download the latest build from:

    ftp://ftp.fpoint.com/SpreadWinForms5/spwin5_net35-3514.zip

    Thanks,

Thanks, it's working now, after the November update.

But how wrere I'm supposed to know that this is a known bug?

The serach in this forum didn't yield any results and the  release notes for the November (or any other) issue don't mention it either.

    Regards
